Rob Rutter
With almost 30 years industry experience, predominantly with the Lloyds Bank and Merrill Lynch Groups both in the UK and Monaco, Rob manages the development of SAMM and also heads up the Private Client business. Rob has wide ranging expertise in the financial markets and a proven track record in maintaining successful, long-term client relationships.
David Vanrenen
David has over forty five years of business experience in financial markets. He was a senior partner at stock broking firm Mathison and Hollidge in Johannesburg and was on the Johannesburg Stock exchange committee. He has founded several companies including Australian Gilt Securities, Giltnet Limited and co-founded Equity Systems Limited with Reuters Limited. David also established Kleinwort Benson Fixed Income Investment Trust, Equisoft Limited and PeopleBank. More recently, David has been actively involved with several OFEX companies and other private ventures.
Brian Stewart
Brian’s career in financial services stretches back more than 25 years and he has a strong track record in building highly successful operations. Brian's previous experience includes forming the Stewart Hastie Partnership and The Stewart Partnership and turning another company, Let’s Invest It, into a business holding £150 million in client funds.
Ron Langlands
A qualified Chartered Accountant with over 30 years experience, Ron has worked for Ernst & Young in Paris, Becton Dickinson in Grenoble and served as CFO for the Logan Orviss International Group as well as setting up his own business consultancy. A resident of Monaco for over 20 years, Ron has intricate knowledge of the Principality’s regulatory environment and financial systems.
Dan Vanrenen
Dan has worked in the financial industry for the past 10 years. In 2003 Dan co-founded Waltech PLC as a incubator/accelerator fund to operate and provide value-added management. In 2004-5 Dan was MD of Alchemex software in South Africa, the UK and Australia. Since 2005 Dan has managed a privately owned venture capital/private equity company in the Isle of Man. Dan also co-founded and is a director of World Mining Services Ltd, which is actively involved in a number of global mining projects, with a strong focus on Poland.
Jackie Fowler
Jackie has a wealth of experience in the financial services sector, having worked as a broker consultant with a host of UK blue chip companies including Scottish Amicable, Sun Life and AXA.
Key People
Graham Crawford
From 1986-1993 Graham was a Discretionary Investment Manager with Lloyds International Private Banking, London. In 1993, along with Rob Rutter and other team members, he joined Merrill Lynch London as a Financial Advisor and in 2001 he relocated to their Monte Carlo office where he continued in his primary role of advising clients on all investment matters on a global scale. Graham is currently the author of The Crawford Report, a highly acclaimed Private Client Market and Investment Report. He also makes frequent appearances on Monaco’s Riviera Radio where he is a contributor to investment discussion programs.
Phil Churchyard
Phil has nearly 30 years experience within the financial industry. Following a six year career with the Lloyds Bank Group, he became a Stock Options Trader on the floor of the London Stock Exchange and over time diversified into various roles advising Institutional and HNW Clients on the use of Derivatives within an overall Asset Management Strategy. He subsequently spent 5 years with ED&F Man as a Senior Futures Broker and more recently was Head of Sales for ODL Securities which involved extensive business throughout Asia.
Katherine Vanrenen
Katherine graduated with Honours in Law from Southampton University in 2001 before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, working as an Audit Manager for a Top 15 firm. Katherine subsequently moved into corporate finance, working for an AIM Listed London stock broking firm with small and mid-cap clients in both the public and private arenas.
